Now lemme say this, I have a lot of Van's music. And I irritate his ol' bootleg Usher looking ass on the Twittuh on occasion. He's a good hearted jackass. A Good Guy. And all of his music that I have, he has put out there for de free. So, he's given his fans and supporters a lot of his music and himself, it's time to show him some luv and buy that Megatron Majorz/Redux.

Okay, so I worked a day shift today, and when I got home, I kissed my kid, changed clothes and checked my Facebook.  


One of my FB friends, Van had posted a YouTube link.  He had posted a video commentary/PSA in response to Kiely Williams' music video on YouTube for her song "Spectacular."  Now, I'm not gonna recap what he said.  I'm not gonna try to say it better or more politely.  Because I happen to think he did more than an excellent job of breakin' it down.  I'm only gonna direct your attention to the sidebar and ask you to click on the Red Pump.  


Attitudes like the one Miss Kiely expresses in her song... umm... yeah.  That's kinda what makes the Red Pump Project necessary in the first place.  C'mon, ladies... let's do better.  Know your status.  Know your partner's status.  Hell, know your partner!! Protect yourself.

It's Vandalyzm, y'all!!

So my eHomey and St. Louis native, Vandalyzm has a new mixtape out. He's a very talented Emcee and all around good guy....  Ok, so that's a stretch.  He can be an ass. But it's all good, he's a good hearted ass!!  And he knows he's an ass, so it doesn't really count... anyhoooo....  His MegatronMajorz has been in constant rotation on all my players since I copped it. And I'm outrageously hyped about this new bit of Van brilliance. (Don't get ya head all inflated, Van... you still look like a bootleg Usher!).

Now, the best part is this new drop, Soulspazm Digital & Trackstar the DJ Presents: Vandalyzm is Not the Father is coppable (yeah, I made that word up... get over it) FOR THE FREE!! Woot!! You have no excuse not to check out ol' boy's music.  You'll be glad you did.  Also, follow him on the Twittah... he's hella funny and brutally honest!

This Dude is an Awesome Emcee!!

If you click on the title of this post, you will find yourself on the blog of a very funny, very talented, very intelligent Hip Hop artist who goes by the name of Vandalyzm. He is on the verge of very big things. His music is in constant rotation on all my music players. I also follow him on Twitter (again, ppl of the Cornfield... Google that ish and join us in 2009). He is alternately very funny, very insightful, very irreverent and ALWAYS honest with his stuff... sometimes too much so... just jokes, Van!

Anyway, for what my opinion is worth, I love his music. It's upfront. It's bangin'. He goes from humor to deep thoughts to reality with the ease of a trapeze artist flying through the air. And he does so with similar grace. Now, if you're into Lil' Wayne and Drake and Soulja Boy and nem, Van may be too deep for you. But if real, good, that's-that-shyt Hip Hop is what makes your world go round, Vandalyzm is the dude for you!
